Export
Advice ~ De l'eau - avis |

Climate change forecasts show a great
likelihood of water supply shortages all over the world. In light of this,
should Canada agree to export some of its water supplies? |

It is a hard choice the government would have to
make. If we do export water we would be losing money. It would also be to much
money for most people to afford. But if we do decide to export it lots of
people who can't obtain fresh water will be able to. There is always a down
side for both exporting and keeping it

I think we should give our water because some
people are dying from water that is not healthy so why are our lives any more
important than ours

Share our water resources for the unlucky citizens
in other countries, its not their fault they are less fortunate, we shall help
others with contaminated water.

I think we should share it with people so that people in places
that are dieing from lack of water can be strong. Sometimes you have to think of other people not just
yourself :)

I don't support water exportation, it's a finite resource so when it's gone
it's gone - we're not getting it back. We should conserve our water not not sell one of our most precious resources. As for giving it to Americans I don't have much sympathy for them; they waste even more water than we do!

Yes we should. India needs water.

But if we did sell our water to the USA, Canada would have a really strong relationship with America and they would be
great allies.

If you were living in one of the less fortunate countries, you'd want Canada to share its water, so why are we even questioning this. We just happened to get lucky when we settled in this area, and yes it's paying off in the long run, but does that mean that we can be greedy and keep it all to ourselves. I know there are limited amounts, but if we consider the water resources low, just imagine how people around the world will feel. WE are incredibly lucky, and we need to share some of our luck.

wait, I think you have forgotten, we have 20% of the world's
freshwater, and we do need it. If you have forgotten, we are one of the biggest
water- using countries in the world, and seriously, do you want to be in the same position as the US in ten/twenty years? keep it, save it, replenish it, and sell small amounts along the way for a bit of profit.
